"Curtis Jobling is an author and illustrator of numerous picture books based in the UK.  Working in animation he is possibly most (in)famously known as the designer of the BAFTA winning BBC show Bob The Builder, as well as creator of Frankenstein’s Cat and the hit CBeebies preschool show, Raa Raa the Noisy Lion.  Early work in animation included model and puppet painting on Wallace & Gromit’s A Close Shave and Tim Burton’s Mars Attacks!

In addition to his work in animation and picture books, Curtis is best known as the author of the acclaimed Wereworld series of novels for the middle grade through teen audience. Set in the mythical realms of Lyssia, the books straddle the twin genres of fantasy and horror, following the fortunes of an unlikely hero in a world where the Werelords rule. The first novel, Rise of the Wolf, was published in January 2011, and was shortlisted for the Waterstone's Book Prize. A further five novels have followed, with the last book, War of the Werelords, marking the end of the epic series.
